Social Media Campaign promotional posts exploring the relationship between potential collaborators with pet stores / shelters like Petbarn, the characters within the book as well as the inspiration for the character’s design, Luna.
The script and title of the book follows the same repetition throughout, repeating the idea of keeping a pinky promise. I decided to be a bit playful with the title, replicating a feeling of the child having trouble pronouncing a difficult word, calling the book, I Pinky Pawmise. I wanted the book to be a quick and simple read for both the parent and children since its main goal is to be more of an approachable conversation starter about promising responsibility and commitment in regards to pet ownership.
I attempted to create a visual style and typography which reflects the style seen in children's books, sticking to a traditional look and feel, with textures like gouache paint brushes. I wanted the character design of the main character to be bright and memorable, with contrasting colours for her clothing with simple shapes while the parents are a bit more complex when it comes to design and clothes, with the father designed to be getting ready for work while the mother is still in her pajamas and bunny slippers.
