Brain Health Hub is a research community cultivated by people of all ages and places with unique and forward thinking ideas that raise awareness of and increase the adoption brain healthy behaviours across the lifespan.
Their project, Brain Health Hub was a step towards targeting a new demographic, children, to assist them in creating healthier mental and physical habits to support their well being.
For my contributions to the project, I had the opportunity to be a project manager and team leader alongside a few other teammates, helping develop the character designs you see before you. In the later stages of the development of the book, I was tasked with creating many of the illustrative pages and have chosen to only display those within my portfolio.
To preface, the typography, colouring and any other assisting visual assets were developed by our team members.
I’m glad to have worked on this project with such lovely people and I believe many of the group members have become close acquaintances.
The project has taught me many things about what working in a group scenario would be like and how to create files which are optimised to be transferred between members as well as understanding practices which would help other members understand the next best process with the material and assets provided. I also learnt what it was like to be a team leader which surely will continue to help me be a better designer.
